RAWWWRRRRR…. Life finds a way… for FUN!

Now’s the time to register for FOUR fun days of Silver Comet Day Camp. We’ll be calling upon the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods to bring back dinosaurs and more prehistoric fun, so be sure to mark your calendar and sign up to attend Silver Comet Cub Day Camp June 3 – 6, 2024 at Macland Community Church. We’ll be celebrating wins like friendship, fun, and the spirit of scouting. Silver Comet Day Camp will offer shooting sports, scouting fun and recognition beads.  Everybody walk the dinosaur!

 The health forms (all attendees), Youth Protection Training/Hazard Weather certificates (14+) will need to be filled out and uploaded to the registration form.

LOCATION AND THEME

• Dinosaur Explore
• June 3-6, 2024 9am-3:30pm
• Fees: $145 per youth: It provides staff training, program materials, craft items, patches, t-shirts, insurance, etc. There will be no late registration this year, as it will have a hard close on 4/19/24.
• WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! Full week volunteers get a discount on their cubs: use code TREX2024 for a discount on your cub’s registration after you register yourself.
• You can upload your health form (AND CARD) as well as your YPT certificates during registration.
• Arrivals daily: 8:45-9AM. Dismissal: 3:30PM. Do not arrive before 3:20PM as traffic flow is a hazard to campers.
• Macland Community Church, 3615 Macland Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
• Camp Sneak-a-Peek will be Sunday, June 2, from 4:00-5:00PM. Parents and scouts are invited to meet the Den leaders, participate in a den activity as well as pick up your shirts & carpool tag. No scout will be put in a car at dismissal without a car tag.
• RETURNING Volunteers have a zoom training on Wednesday, May 8, 2023.
• NEW Volunteers will need to attend In-person mandatory training at 9:30am on Saturday, May 11th

WHAT TO BRING

• **Rising Tigers MUST HAVE an adult attending camp each day** Rising Lions are considered Dragons and can signup to attend the Dragon Cave if an adult volunteer works all week.
• Lunch: Every person attending camp needs to bring a lunch packed in a labeled gallon ziplock bag and labeled with their name each day. Avoid menu items that spoil rapidly. No sodas, consider a healthy alternative – hydration is imperative. A cooler will be available.
• 1 Day Camp t-shirt will be provided to each scout as part of the camp fee. This shirt, along with weather appropriate clothing, will be the official Day Camp uniform and must be worn to camp each day, dirty or clean. You may purchase extra shirts.
• Scouts need closed-toed shoes, hat, water bottle, and sunscreen. Small towel to sit on, poncho, and quiet game (uno, go fish, pokemon, etc). Label all items with the scout’s name.
• A small drawstring daypack/backpack is helpful for water, sunscreen, and take-home items each day.
• Sunscreen and bug repellant must be applied at home before coming to camp each day.
• Items NOT allowed at camp (NO EXCEPTIONS) are water guns, knives of any kind, electronic devices, sandals, Heely’s or Croc-type shoes.
