September 10-30, 2017 Looking for something fun to do during fall break? Check out the 2017 Scout Days at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. Half price admission tickets for Scouts AND their families! Scouts must be in uniform in order to receive the discount. Half price discount applies to everyone in the party. Discounts are available for the IMAX 3D Theater and the River Gorge Explorer. Scouts (age 3-12):$9.50. Parents and Scouts 13+ $15. Full details here.
October 1 & 15 – 5pm DWUMC Pumpkin Patch unload. Uniform: Class B (yellow shirts), hats, water bottle and garden/work gloves (optional). Parents and siblings WELCOME! Pizza is served to volunteers following the unload. Please note that the first unload date is Sunday, October 1 (the Sunday at the tail end of CCSD’s school break). If you are in town, we would love to have you!
October 13-15: Webelos in the Woods at Woodruff Scout Camp Weekend camping in Blairsville for our fifth grade Webelos. A parent is required to attend. Registration information coming soon.
November 4 -6:45pm Flag Retirement Ceremony below the covered pavilion on the church campus. If you have friends or neighbors with flags to retire, please bring them to this moving ceremony. Scouts attending should wear full Class A uniform: Blue or tan shirts.

January – Saturday, January 20, 2018 (6:30-8:30 pm) in the Family Life Center. Pinewood Derby-Build your best car and come race against your den! Pinewood derby cars will be provided by the Pack in December. Dad and siblings race too! Invite your family to come watch! Check out this You Tube video from a previous derby event. Be sure to give your car a name!
February 3-4, 2018 – US SPACE AND & ROCKET CENTER IN HUNTSVILLE The BIG ADVENTURE this year is an overnight Surveyor experience in Huntsville. Surveyor is a one-night, structured educational adventure that allows scouts and chaperones the opportunity to explore the U.S. Space & Rocket Center® This particular program (which includes astronaut training simulators) is designed for kids in 1st-8th grade. Siblings are welcome to attend if they fall within this age range. Cost: $99 per person. Check in time is 1:30 pm CST on Saturday with Sunday departure at approximately 2 pm CST. You will be home in time for Super Bowl!
March 2, 2018 – Blue & Gold Banquet in the Family Life Center at DWUMC SAVE THE DATE! Annual Blue & Gold banquet where the boys will receive their achievements for the year. This is a great opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments! We will also have the crossover ceremony for our Web II’s (fifth graders) who will be crossing over to Boy Scouts. The entire family is welcome to attend (grandparents too)! Class A uniform (blue/tan shirts).
June – Silver Comet North Cub Scout Day Camp June 4-8, 2018. SAVE THE DATE!!!!!! Day camp is open to rising Tigers/first graders (with adult parent volunteers) through rising 5th graders (Webelos). Younger siblings (boys and girls) may also attend camp with an adult volunteer. We will register as a pack in April and must have a 3:1 ratio of cub scouts and adult volunteers. PLEASE consider volunteering at camp. It really is a lot of fun! Cost is approximately $120 for the 5 day camp program. Boys must be registered in a Cub Scout Pack to attend day camp.
