We are excited to announce we have an opportunity to camp at Camp Sidney Dew in northwest Georgia, about 20 miles north of Rome. The pack will spend a full day at the campsite with check-in beginning at 7:30am and the program beginning at 9am on April 12th.

Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting activities on a den and troop level, including hiking and orienteering, fishing, knot-tying, cooking/meal prep, crafts, and, of course, fellowship, relaxing, and a campfire program.

We will spend the night on Saturday family-style, as required by Pack 540 family camping regulations. Cubs will sleep in the same tents with their parents/trusted adults as is traditional in this format. Families will have the option to “check out” at a predetermined time on the evening of the 12th if you do not wish to spend the night, but this is not an in-and-out facility, so there will not be entry/reentry options throughout the day. Each participant needs a health form filled out and in hand.

On Sunday morning, we will have an early breakfast, a brief interfaith service, and then pack up, clean up, and head home. We are thrilled we were able to reserve this campground for such an in-demand weekend and look forward to hearing your feedback after the event.

Cost: $15/person (this covers 3 meals, grab/go breakfast, all programming, campsite rental, and “day rate” fees for the camp).

EVERY PARTICIPANT NEEDS A FILLED-OUT HEALTH FORM AND INSURANCE CARD COPY. Download and bring them to the campout. If you do not have forms, you will be TURNED AWAY.
